How does Physical Therapy Help Out With Leg Cramps?

ptdoctor2016-05-30T16:59:27+00:00

Leg cramps can be temporarily reduced with the soft tissue massage.  To prolong the results it can be combined with daily stretching.  However, to get more permanent results one has to reduce the elevated resting tension that exists in the muscle even before it cramps.  Muscles that cramp have increased tone, which are excessive commands to the muscle from the automatic part of the brain.  The quickest and most effective way to reduce this is with Associative Awareness Technique or AAT ™.  This technique retrains the automatic commands coming from the automatic brain.
