Are High Heels Therapeutic?
No, not really. But for a few rare situations where patients had herniated discs in their backs, I did recommend a small heel to create extra extension of their lower spine.
Most of the time high heels do damage to the body, even though they look good. Wearing them for special occasions isn’t as bad as every day. If you are a frequent user of high heels then make sure you stretch your calf muscles daily. This should push off ankle and knee problems to a later date.
